The students in YDC summer intensive Japanese course received course completion certificate. They learned Japanese language and culture for four weeks. Some of them continue to study at YDC in September.

A Manga piece produced by a YDC second-year student in a Manga course is
appeared in the September issue of SYONEN GANGAN. Please check it out at a
bookstore.

YDC holds an emergency drill every year with all the students taking part in
to ensure safety of the students. This year's drill was held on 31st of
August. In the drill all the participants evacuated the school to the safer
place in a small amount of time.

YDC Summer Intensive Japanese Course offered Tea Ceremony to the students.
They enjoyed wearing a yukata, cotton kimono for summer, and learned tea ceremony etiquette.　

YDC arranged a trip to Kamakura as one of the extracurricular activities. The students in Summer Intensive Japanese Course enjoyed a trip to Kamakura. The photo is the students with The Great Buddha of Kamakura.

On August 3rd, the students in the intensive Japanese language enjoyed Fireworks at Enoshima beach. They also experienced Tourou-nagashi, a ceremony where lanterns were floated on the sea.

Summer Intensive Japanese Course started on 26th of July. Although we have three classes according to students' ability, all students gather in extracurricular activities. The photo is one of the extracurricular activities: Japanese calligraphy.

YDC OPEN CLASS (5 times) has been completed.
Students in Japanese language department enjoyed the lectures with Japanese
students, enlarging their horizons. The photos are from lessons of Handmade
Guitar, Tea Ceremony, Nihon Kenpo ( Japanese martial art), and English
Conversation.

Three Russian students have come to take YDC Summer Intensive Japanese Language Course. We are waiting for other students from Canada, Hong Kong, Thailand. The course offers Japanese lesson in the morning and other activities in the afternoon or evening, such as Japanese tea ceremony, fire works, and a field trip to Akihabara.

YDC will host an event at Kawasaki with our students modeling in it on 29th
of June.

This is YDC original program, students take a subject of whose interests
among
Japanese Kempo, Total coordination, Playing a guiter, Dancing, Acting,
Chinese language,
Sado(Tea ceremony) and so on .... with other department students.
Students enjoyed studying Blues music, English conversation, Japanese Kempo.

Honors Scholarship for Privately Financed International Students (JASSO) will be offered to some students in YDC. The students were selected based on their attendance rate, Japanese performance, and behavior in the classes.

Current students from China, Nepal, and Thailand gave words of warm welcome
to the new students. New students from China and Russia replied to the
words. This sober ceremony has impressed all the participants.
