- This course was newly created to improve Japanese ability and to deepen understanding of Japanese culture and society of those students who want to make their lives in Japan smoother and those who want to find jobs in Japan.
Other than Japanese language and culture, there are programs to cultivate basic skills necessary to work for Japanese companies.
Students become eligible to receive a degree of specialist at graduation and aim to be employed by Japanese companies.
- Students aim to improve their Japanese ability, especially the ability necessary in negotiations and businesses with Japanese people.
- Students aim to achieve high scores on BJT Business Japanese Proficiency Test, STBJ Standard Test for Business Japanese, and the Japanese Language Proficiency test.
- Students improve presentation skill to convey their ideas to others accurately.
- Students learn cross-cultural communication skill through socializing with Japanese people in offices and in the local society.
- Students develop basic skills of business persons, ability to think by themselves, and ability to work in a team, all of which Japanese companies require Japanese workers to have.

- Students acquire computer skills useful in the business environment, through practical training.

YDC offers unique education system and a variety of design and entertainment related classes and supports all the students who aim to become linguistic specialist to play active roles in various industries.
- Producing commercials
- In this class, students form a team to produce a commercial. They produce it in Japanese and translate the content to their mother language. This improves their Japanese ability and translation skill at the same time.
- Interview, dictations from tape, and rewriting
- Students interview with Japanese people, dictate from tapes, and then rewrite to prepare readable text. This cultivates students’ skills which will be very helpful in graduate schools and offices. Students translate the text into their mother language. This helps them to greatly improve their Japanese ability and translation skill.
- Copywriting
- Students learn images of Japanese words in-depth from Japanese professional copywriters. Through this experience, they can learn practical Japanese and also find its appeal.
- Japanese language teacher training
- Students shift their position to teachers’ and review Japanese language. Language teachers must clearly understand basic structures of both target and mother language. Since students study translation and interpretation skills in the course, this training will make them effective teachers to teach Japanese to beginners back in their home countries.
