Honors scholarships for privately financed international students

YDC Japanese-language students who meet the relevant criteria are eligible for these honors scholarships offered by the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO).

• attending school

Students who are acknowledged as well behaved by the school's recommendation guidelines in attendance, performance and personality will be granted 50,000 yen monthly for six months throughout the school term. Fifteen students in total during a year being granted.

• After graduation

JASSO offers honor scholarships (48,000 yen/month for one year) to YDC Japanese-language students who score high in EJU and who is already enrolled in either a university or a vocational school with YDC recommendation( good academic results, good attendance and behavior). Two students win the scholarships every year.

In addition, the students who score high in EJU will receive honors scholarships directly from JASSO for 1 year after they enter a university or a vocational school. ( Three students won these scholarship in 2008)

Awards and Commendations from Ishikawa Academy

Ishikawa Academy present commendations and financial awards to YDC Japanese-Language students who achieve excellent records and maintain good attendance.

• At graduation

Students who accomplish 100% attendance in school, calculated by time, will be rewarded for perfect attendance, Kaikinsho.
Students who accomplish 100% attendance in school, calculated by days, will be rewarded for good attendance, Seikinsho.
